I was a member of UCLA's Figure Skating Club competitive team for four years (2011-2015) and served as the club's treasurer in 2013-2014. Collegiate team skating is one of the nicest recent additions by the USFSA (US Figure Skating Association). Each year more schools across the country are able to compete at regional competitions with a chance to make it to collegiate nationals. UCLA took only seven skaters to the Intercollegiate Team Skating Championships, but still finished 6th in the country in 2013.
In 2014 UCLA qualified for the Championships again. With 12 skaters, UCLA improved over its 2013 performance, finishing 5th. We are especially proud that we finished "best in the West", topping the other schools in the Western Division at the Championships. UCLA qualified for the championships again in 2017 and placed 5th.
